Braces In The '90s and '00s


Braces seemed to become more common during the 1990s, and they occasionally showed up in movies as well.

The movie Theres Something About Mary (1998) even featured a lead character who apparently liked braces. The movie included scenes with a Ben Stiller character sporting a mouthful of braces.




The movie Rushmore (1998) featured a braces and glasses clad lead character, and those are real braces on the two twins, Ronnie and Donnie.


By the '00s, braces were much more prominent, and were a defining feature of the quirky lead character in the TV sitcom Ugly Betty (2006-2010).
